FiSH Schools & Family Page
We have exciting news! We have analyzed data from our family- and school-based 1st grade interventions and we are finding that they were effective: Compared to children not in the interventions, at-risk children in the intervention groups were healthier (had better-controlled BMI) at the end of 1st grade, and also in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade, depending on which part of the intervention they experienced. We will soon be letting the FiSH schools' personnel know about our findings. Thank you for helping us understand what keeps young children healthy.
